Why I Travel
Working in the hospitality industry for decades gave me a front-row seat to some of the most amazing destinations in the world. But it was the trips beyond work—the ones with family, the spontaneous detours, the days spent getting wonderfully lost—that shaped how I see the world.
My friends and family know that I’m a meticulous planner when I travel. Some of the very best experiences must be reserved well in advance, and the last thing I want to do is travel across the world and miss out on the best local dining and travel experiences. I’ve learned that you don’t need a month in Europe to have an unforgettable experience. Sometimes all you need is a day, a good plan, and the willingness to walk a little farther than everyone else.
