BBQ Rub

BBQ Rub

This rub will really enhance any grilled meats or chicken. You can make this rub in advance and store at room temperature. I prefer to apply the rub the day before cooking, wrap the meat tightly in plastic wrap, and refrigerate. This allows the rub to fully permeate the meat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fine brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons celery seeds
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 3 teaspoons ancho chile powder
  • 5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 5 teaspoons white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

Instructions

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix all ingredients. Store for later use.
